Good News! Our Myanmar international student Aung Htet Paing has won the Second Prize in the Zhejiang Province International Students' Micro-Video Competition.

Recently, the selection of entries for the "Me and the Poetic Zhejiang—2021 Zhejiang International Students' Micro-video Competition," guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, organized by the Zhejiang Association for International Education Exchange, and undertaken by Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College, has come to an end. A total of 88 entries from undergraduate and vocational students across the province were submitted for evaluation. The competition concluded with the selection of three special awards, five first prizes, ten second prizes, and thirty third prizes. AUNG HTET PAING (Angte) from our School, under the guidance of teachers Xiao Longzhong, Huang Yi, and Song Yufan, produced the micro-video titled "My Stories in Hangzhou," which stood out and won the second prize in the competition.

His video vividly portrays the spread and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in China as witnessed by him while living in Hangzhou. During his studies at our institution, especially when he stayed on campus during the pandemic, AUNG received great attention and care from the leaders and teachers, and he deeply felt their warm concern and solicitude. In the process of filming the video, AUNG further immersed himself in the charm of Hangzhou's cultural landscape. He expressed his determination to bring back to his home country the great spirit of the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in their heroic fight against the pandemic, and to call on the whole world to unite and fight the pandemic together.

Our school has always attached great importance to the education of international students. While providing high-quality theoretical knowledge education, we have also established various practical platforms to enable international students to move from the classroom to extracurricular activities, thereby cultivating their social practice abilities and further involving them in the development process of contemporary China. This approach is part of our continuous efforts to deepen Sino-foreign cooperative education.
